Thanks, I had not see that post.

What he is talking about is a VERY local die temperature for a very short amount of time. Not very meaningful.

Either way, if you ask anyone with even slight knowledge of thermal management, they will tell you that the die thermal resistance is a small part of the overall resistance.

If this stuff makes the die generate less heat, as Bill suggest, then that is an entirely different argument which I have no comment on.
