To: basilides who wrote (33980 ) 12/3/2000 10:13:25 AM From: Poet Read Replies (3) | Respond to of 35685 basilides, I've read all your posts here, as well as your PM to me. It's clear to me that you've had some very negative experiences with Bonnie on Yahoo. I have to admit I couldn't quite follow every post, as they were out of context, but I certainly agree that namecalling and discussions of group blowjobs are not things I support. Kindness, caring and the ability to change for the better are . I've never been over to Yahoo, though I know the rules and behavior are different there. I've been on SI for a number of years, learning most of the things I know about the stock market and trading through this site. I've certainly seen my share of hypesters, malcontents and bullies here. Between the SI terms of use and the reactions of SI members, justice is served pretty well. The members of this thread saw fit start a new moderated one, specifically to omit Bonnie. That is their right. I had to switch to a moderated forum myself earlier this year, due to vicious and repeated ad hominem attacks which disrupted my options thread. However, there are some differences. Once I went to a moderated forum, I returned to the subject of options. I didn't continue to talk for months about how awful the attackers were, posting their comments repeatedly and gloating that they no longer had access to me. As a matter of fact, one of the attackers is now a well-regarded member of the Moderated Porch, posting knowledgeably about the market and keeping his invective to a minimum. He has been given another chance. I'm posting here for a couple of reasons: first, to give voice to my objection to Voltaire's repeated entreaties to buy each dip in a bear market, and second to allow Bonnie, who has been publicly marginalized for months, a chance to interact here without attack. If you've been reading this thread for a while, I'm sure you know how I feel about bullies. I stand up and fight them, defend others against them. I stood by for months watching the drama regarding Bonnie unfold, hoping there would be a shift away from the derision about her. That didn't happen. What did happen was that the so-called "bully" became bullied. I'm interpreting your series of posts as being a warning well meant, and I appreciate it. Welcome to SI. May you make friends and learn a lot here. If there's anything with regard to options that I can help you with, please let me know.
