The battle of the statisticians: Gore's guy doing it for free; Bush's guy a hired gun from past lead paint controversial trials--what Bois didn't get to bring out in his opening question.

As far as the battle goes, I think the public will view Hengarten as genuine, the other guy as a hired gun. Ironically, in a way, this sorta tells the difference of what a Gore presidency and a Bush presidency would be like.

Anyway, this is what happens when you don't count all the votes. We end up in a battle over statistics.

And this is where we find a relevant adage:

"Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is interesting; however, what they conceal is crucial."

What was Ambassador-elect concealing that she had to certify Florida's electors so quickly, this in the clear knowledge that counties still wanted to report numbers? Anyone know yet whether Texas has certified its electors yet? As of two or three days ago, Texas hadn't submitted its numbers.

Was Harris concealing votes via her rapid certification? You bet!

The 'Bush camp' statistician cleaned Boise's clock.

And I should say that it was not literally his 'clock' per say, as in the device used commonly, but not everywhere (as a sun dial is not, at least, a *mechanical* clock) to measure time, but his 'clock' as in the thing that makes Mr. Boise 'tick' in a manner of speaking...

regards,
cAPSLOCK

Whatta ya think about all those very powerful white men in that court room? So far, I've seen one black on the Gore team, one woman in a cop suit and two female transcribers. The rest are all powerful white men!

Ever attend a major media event, where the ownership of America's media are in attendance, or watch one on C-Span? I personally witnessed such an event at the JFK School of Government at Harvard University, and recently observed the 4th Annual Jack Germand Award on C-Span.

There just weren't no black folk in those audiences. Folks, I hate to clue ya in, but we still have a long way to go as a nation, as a planet!
