Thanks TraderAlan, the way i see it, there are many NEW RULES under the new SUPERSOES initiative that go beyond what most people are expecting. For one, without dual liability for the MM's via Selectnet, and MM's that don't even have to respond...and not having the optional ability now to even go out of mkt for trades via selecnet... not to mention institutions being able to load and unload large positions before the little guy even has a shot at a execution due to the first come first serve.... i see the volitility gettign even worse in the NASDAQ.... i am not to optimistic about this whole Supermontage and Super Soes...thank goodness SuperSOES is being delayed again till 1/01. Question..I was ponderign this... the "active ECNs" ARCA, REDi..utilize Selectnet...so i can understand that the would not be as opposed...because the active feature is a added sales tool to utilize these ECN's...but it wou;ld seem that new alogorthims will have to be made... and quite frankly i think these active features will lose some of there luster...as the NASDAQ is making it more difficult for these "active features" to be successfull. IHMO..the real professional traders will get by okay..but the smaller direct access guy is going to get thrown around liek a jelly bean.... i find some of the features intriging, but for the most part...this system was deducted for the larger participants in mind, and structured around there needs for the most part.
