Scumbria,

Public support for Gore among Bush supporters is already very low. It remains very high among Gore supporters, however.

According to the polls, it's already waning among Democrats (polls from last Friday).

More importantly, I was talking about from here on out. Four friends who are Democrats told me this weekend that enough is enough and that Gore should concede. I realize it's not scientific, but his support does not appear to be holding.

Sounds like wishful thinking on your part.

I don't care one way or the other at this point. I'd guess that Bush will win it, unless the 15,000 absentee ballots in Seminole County are tossed, which is still a possibility, I think. Either way, they're a one-termer.

Dave

p.s. A friend (who is a Republican) told me this morning that on one of the Sunday talking head shows (the one with George Will?), they were starting to call the current market downturn the "Gore Recession". While I'd say that's not even remotely true, it's certainly not a label I'd want to be saddled with.
