I am not arguing party platform here, just stating the fact that lower rates now mean higher rates later (and substantially higher considering there will fewer people to spread the burden over). Would you disagree? In any case, I don't think the Dems would propose 80% tax rates... but I do think it is very short sighted to say "hey, lets lower rates now while the boomers are still earning substantial incomes so that we be solely responsible for paying for them later when they aren't contributing anything."

Why is it that every time I point out something that seems illogical in a party's platform, someone points out a flaw in the other party's? I am not interested in pointing fingers, but in finding solutions. Think for yourself.

More efficient government is the real key, but neither party, in reality will get that done.
