As far as I am concerned Clarence Thomas race is irrelevant. If you want to profile him in that way, then that is your choice and one for which you should be excoriated.

However, Clarence's lack of erudition and his failure to offer even one question in the oral phase suggests that he is merely a rubber stamp to Scalia's guidance and may not really understand what Scalia's point was to begin with.

We will find out when there is a vote that is actually revealed on this issue where he might fall. But if it is far from where Scalia is, I will be shocked.

The man said nothing racist...C. Thomas just keeping mouth shut due to the fact that he is still licking his wounds ala the Anita Hill debacle.
