NO, I just think that QCOM and TXN (read as Nokia) devised a way to hoard the market for themselves. QCOM will continue selling to it's agents in the US and Japan. TXN will continue selling to it's agents in Europe. I would guess that QCOM will also get part of this emerging market in Europe. Everyone will pay QCOM royalties for the 3G products covered by their CDMA patent portfolio. I don't know what royalties companies like Samsung may have to pay for 3G products covered by GSM patents.

Very interesting comment. Geoffrey Moore author of Gorilla Game stated recently that he felt TI was an evolving gorilla *in the DSP arena*...FWIW.
