If she can't certify until given the go from the Florida Supreme Court then the Florida Legislature has a duty to step in.

Perhaps, in view of the changing demographics in the USA,this could be construed as the final "roar" of the white male power-structure.

I just watched the re-run of Judge Saul's reading of his order on C-SPAN, followed by the press conference of the various lawyers. Klock, the lawyer for Sec. Harris, says that the certification they filed with the National Archives provides for the eventuality that the Florida Supreme Court was reversed, so she certified the results as she WOULD have certified them absent the stay, and as she certified them after the stay. Signed by Governor Bush, so it's probably good enough, but after watching Boies and his cohorts, I trust nothing and no one.

If you were watching last night, the poor intervenors had a close encounter with how far you can trust a Washington lawyer. They thought there was a gentlemanly stipulation that their facts were as they stated them in their pleadings but what Gore's lawyers orally stipulated to was "they are who they say they are" but when pressed were unwilling to concede anything other than the identity of the parties and no other facts, so they made the intervenors put on testimony. I learned the hard way to always put everything in writing. These guys only will be bound by what's in writing and signed by all parties, and that's only because there's no way out.

Don't ever take their word for anything. Get it in writing, and make sure they signed it.

Again Boies shot his client in the foot, I think the intervenors were persuasive, as Sauls incorporated the argument of the intervenors into his order (a recount must be statewide).
