Trust me on this: the Bush presidency will go down as one of the biggest debacles in the history of the US...the only ones who will enjoy that fact more than myself will be the Jay Lenos and Lettermans of the world who are thrilled that the biggest goofball on this planet may in fact be our next Pres...gives tremendous hope to common folks like JamesB!

"I wouldn't want to be in Bush's shoes when these ballots eventually get counted"

But it's fun to be president.

>>>I wouldn't want to be in Bush's shoes when these ballots eventually get counted.<<<

Well, it's true. Being in the president's seat can become uncomfortable. For Clinton, he had to ride out a sex scandal. For Bush, should he get the seat, he may well have to ride out something far more embarrassing: a) being a president who lost the national popular vote; and, b) being a president who also, when it ultimately becomes known, lost the electoral college vote.

If Bush is really lucky, perhaps the Seminole and Martin County cases will save him from from such an historical embarrassment, an embarrassment far greater than what Clinton went through riding out his sex scandal. Spending three and a half years as an illegitmate president can only mean a horrible fate.

Again, perhaps Bush will get lucky and lose this election. He still has a shot at it.
