My favorite Bergman film is "Cries and Whispers", which is very intense. "Smiles of a Summer's Night" is a remarkable satiric effort, and his direction of "The Magic Flute" is wonderful, and shows the opera to advantage. He wrote a screenplay directed by Bille August, called "Best Intentions", based on his parents, that was among the very finest films I have ever seen.

I love film, and would be happy to talk about it any time we get a chance......
