I think there is a well-defined career path now for SNL cast members... 1. Get your butt on SNL somehow. 2. Generate a repetitive skit character that provides two minutes of chuckles from the audience. 3. Get movie contract to throw that minimally-defined character as a full length movie. Yes, it'll suck, so be sure to get an up-front cash payment. 4. Don't spend it all on smokes, booze and dope, and maybe you won't eat out of a dumpster at retirement age.
