Yes, I guess you're right.

I was taking the view of those with a shorter time horizon than I have, since the question posed asked for near to intermediate time frame evaluation.

I've taken a beating a couple of times from washing my hands of shares in disgust, only to watch the a change of direction that was both spectacular, immediate, and without my participation. Enough! In the future, I'm not letting go of my shares this easily again. It's tough, and I sometimes feel I'm looking at a fool when I approach a mirror, but I'm convinced that I cannot outsmart the market and so will hold my position until I'm convinced the business or company has lost it's attraction as an investment, or I need the money. No moving to greener pastures for me, because every time I do, I discover the hard way it's full of weeds and cow-patties.

When Microsoft turns to crap, it takes half a year to bottom, and a year to recover. I don't think this time will be much different.

Not selling is like holding an interest-free loan from the tax man. The satisfaction of depriving our politicians the revenue is a pleasure beyond words.

Cheers, PW.
