Actually, the overall long term trend going out 10 years is likely very positive. There is no indication that it is anything but. New technologies are pouring out. It would take a major slowdown in new tech for a downward trend to kick in. Productivity remains high, likely going higher. All the productivity naysayers have pretty much had their arguments thwarted.
