Well, another post to Cobaltblue tonight.

Re. Gore, I can recall seeing him on TV years back in a discussion or debate with Dukakis and Jesse Jackson among others. I think this was in '88. When the subject of opposition to some military action or other that Reagan had taken (I can't remember which - Grenada or Libya, perhaps) came up, Gore alone differed from the other Dem's on stage and said that on this subject "Mr. Dukakis and Rev. Jackson are just plain wrong". Seems Mr. Gore was able to question what his party believed back then.

Lastly, as a "lapsed" Southern Baptist, I'll just say that those Argentinian torturers you mentioned probably weren't Baptists. I wonder what religion they might have been, hmmmm?
