Mike,
we all make mistakes

Ain't that the truth! I've had my share, that's for sure... a certain fruit from Florida comes to mind, for example.

If you'll permit some random musings;

Yesterday's rise in G&K (and the entire market) does seem to be cause for celebration ... but, as I've learned over the past year, many stocks remain overvalued, and yesterday's bounce really had nothing to do with company fundamentals. It seemed to be fueled mostly by perceived stability in US politics & perhaps some premature notions on the Fed's consideration of drop in interest rates next year.

Obviously I'm happier when there's green in my portfolio, but, to be honest, I'm no more elated now, than I am despondent when my stocks are down. (That is, I'm relatively unphased, either way.)

CTXS is gone from my port, the remainders... well, nothing has changed my opinion based on prior/ongoing dd that they are good LTB&H choices. The day to day (month to month) movements will pass. Again, I'm very pleased with the nosmo family port, despite being a member of the class of late '99-'00 (i.e., I'm still in negative territory).

In addition to the prodding from Sir Apollo to work on my investing acumen, I've apprecitated the knowledge & wisdom shared so freely on this thread and in select other threads. I get the sense from time to time that the older/wiser other members of the thread occasionally feel badly for the newbies who've been taking it on the chin this year. I suspect my gratitude to you and the thread elders is shared by most other newbies, honestly.

End of OT musings,

nosmo
