Gore didn't ask for the manual recount in other counties because a. there weren't the same level of errors/complaints and b. there weren't votes to be had.

The fact is that Bush knew that by not asking for a manual state wide count, he might be able to use that "lack of a hand count statewide" for his own benefit. To this day though, has anyone found a requirement that a manual recount must be statewide? Since requests are granted by county boards, I would find the statewide requirement a bit impossible to ensure.

Let me tell you, every passing day I am convinced that FL fits the Heller "Catch 22" profile.

Listen, I'm praising the way this Bush team controlled the spin. His team sure could have helped the Congressional buffoons these past few years.

I forgot to respond to some of your questions:

<<Do you think that Gore would have got his manual recount in Miami-Dade if he had been willing to accept torn chads, hanging chads, and chads with clear stylus marks, but not dimpled chads?>>

That, I don't know. I will tell you the sophisticates that will do the FOI analysis of the ballots, will probably collect data via numerous criteria, from strictest to most liberal, to counteract the contention that only if dimpled chads were to count would the outcome have changed.

At least one of those FOI requests will be by a "non/bi partisan group" if any of those are left.

The video evidence of who was stopping the Dade recount was pretty obvious.
