So this Andrew Thomas is an ex-Intel employee like Kumar … both still on duty…

"As someone whose promising rock'n'roll career was brought to
an untimely end by a bizarre accident with a finger and an
early Pentium III prototype in an Intel lab, such cool
running can only be applauded. ®

Scott, I'm really beginning to wonder about Andrew Thomas and this Isonics deal. It's sort of odd that out of his general Intel suckup line (2ghz P4 in January!) and fairly sloppy AMD reporting, the only good things he has to say about AMD involve flogging the Isonics rumors to death.

I remain moderately skeptical about the Si28 line. It seemed puzzling enough when the rumors focused on bulk silicon, now that it's just an epitaxial layer, it seems even more puzzling. If the Palomino is really "cool to the touch", there has to be a lot more than better heat dissipation going on.

Cheers, Dan.
