My response to this news is to lighten up in my holdings in ccur..to me this indicates just another slippage in the VOD scene for ccur..I will continue to hold some, may buy some more calls, far out ones, as it looks more and more like another year of WAITING! as long as the company has to work in the dark (background) without recognition from the street, without earnings, and PR.. we go NOWHERE IMHFO>

Kagan's report on the SeaChange deal does make it appear that the investment was not VOD specific. SeaChange received a $10 mil. vote of confidence from Comcast this morning (12/6). The company announced an equity investment from the MSO that promises to expand their long-time ad insertion relationship into the interactive segment. In addition to the cash, Comcast signed SeaChange to a long-term master purchase agreement for its VOD systems. SeaChange, one of four VOD equipment suppliers fighting for early territory, recently expanded its services to other traditional ITV fare. Comcast is making waves in the ITV space, recently announcing an arrangement with Wink for its interactive ad service, and it has been rolling out WorldGate’s TV Internet access and its TVGateway IPG in select systems. SEAC was up 6% in early trading to $31.88, following a 15% move up yesterday.
