In my family, a high degree of exogamy is the rule. My father was of Eastern European Jewish descent, my mother Italian and English. I am from Washington, DC, and married a woman from Kansas City, MO. She is of English, Scottish, and German descent. One brother married an African- American woman (she is a Republican, by the way). Another married an Italian- American woman from Grosse Pointe, Michigan.........
