In the last few days, we have been labeling posts on this subject as OT. But is it? Consider that right now and for the last month, nothing affects your portfolio and your net worth as much as what is going on with the presidential fiasco. Not earnings, not interest rates, not fuel prices not even Pandas. As long as the Gorian lawyers file lawsuits and there is even a Possibility that the election can be stolen, the market will not move up.

In the last month Al Gore has changed your financial well being more than any other human on this planet. Even more than Alan Greenspan.

And the lies just never stop. One lie after another.

How many times a day do you hear that they Gorians are just trying to get the votes counted. A complete lie. The votes were counted twice. Twice. These votes in contention were merely votes which did not have a VALID vote for president either because: 1. Two or more votes were made the same office of President. or 2. No vote was made for president by punching the a hole in the card as per clearly marked instructions in the voting booth. These votes were properly counted.

But the lying continues so much that it becomes accepted by the stupid and ignorant.

As the lying continues, your portfolio value drops.

Hey, for a balanced view, here is an article about Republican thuggery.

One of the chief obstacles to intelligence is credulity, and credulity could be enormously diminished by instructions as to the prevalent forms of mendacity. Credulity is a greater evil in the present day than it ever was before, because, owing to the growth of education, it is much easier than it used to be to spread misinformation, and, owing to Democracy, the spread of misinformation is more important than in former times to the holders of power.--Bertrand Russell
