As I watch the local yokels talk about picking their own slate of electors, which is unnecessary since the Governor has already certified a Bush slate, I believe they are treading down a very slippery slope...and these clowns admit it as well. While most Americans believe Bush won now, most also do not want the legislature to get involved... especially when it is not necessary. Number one rule in politics: Don't get the people angry.

Upon being informed of the completion of the successful attack on Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto, CINC Imperial Fleet, was quoted as saying:

"We have awakened a sleeping giant and have instilled in him a terrible resolve".

I just heard that: I definitely think it said what was written here, that the legislature will meet Fri and will appoint electors who will cast their votes according to the constitutionally correct ELECTION DAY count!
Hurrah hurrah hurrah.
Now if it would just be done we could all relax again.
Until the next earnings warning (oops)
