Then why did the Seminole County director of election deny hundreds of Democrats their right to an absentee ballot. There could be a whole new case in there. Thanks Zoltan, you always come through in a pinch.

Yes, actually I had seen it, but not focused on it properly. Since the possibility of throwing out the ballots kept being kicked around, I was a little vague on what I had read. But I have asserted for awhile, on the basis of that among other things that they could not throw out the ballots, as far as I could tell.......

What does 42 U.S.C Sec. 1971(Voting rights statute)
have to do with it. They aren't asking that the ballots be thrown out because of omissions, but for tampering. Besides the voter id is used to determine wether someone is qualified under state law to vote. It's part of the requirement to obtain an absentee ballot, just as showing a govt. id was required for a regular ballot. Should these people have received a ballot in the 1st place?
I don't think the ballots will be ejected, but this law has little to do with anything here.
