Absolutely wrong. The legislature solution only kicks in when other means fail. Nice try, but believe it or not, the founding fathers have that base covered. Besides, wouldn't we want presidential electors to be chosen by an ELECTED legislature, which more truly reflects the "will of the people," than by judges, who are more often than not APPOINTED?

Do furnish a list of "backwater" states and regular states. I try to remain current, geography-wise. And perhaps you will distinguish between backwater legislatures and backwater courts. You seem to be in the I-loath-the-military camp. Were you proud that the dems tried to block overseas military ballots? The people in the military are sworn to REALLY fight and die for you and me and many have. This is light years away from Gore blathering on.....I'M GONNA FIGHT FOR YOU. What a joke. What a jerk. This country is blessed with the most apolitical military imaginable. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
