one IDSL line (chicago) is $50/mo (144/144)
w/ 1yr contract

but you can get regular DSL for like $40/mo (or most $50) w/no longterm conract w/ speeds of at least 384/384 if you're w/in range.

That is kind of expensive. I have @home (cable) for $40 a month with a speed of 3.5M but I usually see speeds in the range of 1.5-2.5M which beats DSL any day. ADSL at 1.5M in my area costs the same but is not yet available to my house.
