Who is Billy? Clinton? Clinton was elected Atty. General in 1976, Governor in 1978, and got re-elected a few more times till 1992 (with one loss). ~14 years experience in public office before becoming President.

Gore was elected to represent Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1976. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1984 and was re-elected in 1990. 24 years experience in public office.

Bush came out of nowhere (see link below) to become Governor in 1994, and re-election in 1998. Like I said, "thumbs of one hand" - 6 years experience in public office.

Bush biography:
bush2000.com -- click on the 1946-present link -- I'm surprised we didn't see his face on the "Men in Black" screen of all aliens on the planet, it is so lightweight!

But it doesn't really matter -- if we get him, he's going to have to be so careful, he might actually end up doing a good job inspite of himself. At least that is what I'm hoping.
