the word "Misread" is misleading don't you think?

The machine did NOT Misread the ballot. The machine read that NO votes were cast in the Presidential race. Maybe there will be a time in your life when you will admit that a certain percentage of voters do not care to cast their vote in a race in which they don't like neither candidate.

Absolutely NOT TRUE! It is a no-vote. Whether or not that is because the machine can't read it, or the voter failed to/chose not to cast a ballot in that space, the fact remains that it is a no-vote.
