Anyone remember comments from Fadel Gheit the past few quarters? Two quarters ago when the producers had earnings blowouts he said: "This is as good as it gets. It's all downhill from here". Last quarter, when they blew away the prior quarter numbers, he said: "This is as good as it gets. It can't get any better". I wonder what he will say this quarter, after the phenomenal numbers that are coming? I mean besides "This is as good as it gets"?

I STILL love my unhedged NG producers. The numerous folks who said it was a stupid move last winter, then this spring, then this summer, have missed out on a great run. It ain't over yet, not by a long shot.

FWIW, XTO up well over 300% since February (split adjusted).

JQP, I think that Mitchell has a technological edge that I never knew existed. Bully for them! If they are expanding the Bridgeport Plant (BTW the Bridgeport-Jacksboro area NW of Dallas is really beautiful rolling hills and chock full of wild western history), then they are pretty sure that the reserves that they are seeking are in the ground....

CMS Energy similarly found a large gas field via horizontal drilling right under the City of Midland....
