Just a rhetorical question, really. It's so frustrating how the market fails to differentiate among stocks in the sector. Both ATML and the semi-equips should benefit from good news in the INTC report (strong flash market and increased capex budget) but if not for the strong market tone, surely they would have sold off, probably even more than INTC.

And today CNBC was praising Jon Joseph (again) for his July call. Well, he got the top all right, but for the wrong reasons. He was calling for an end to this semi cycle, of which there is still no evidence. All that's happened was that a weaker economy took the edge of the up-cycle's rate of expansion. INTC's increased capex plan should remove any doubt about where we are in the cycle.

But it's worked out well for me (if I'm right!) as I've re-established positions I'd sold out (PRIA, BRKS, ATML) and taken positions in great companies at cycle-low prices (ADI, TER, VSEA). I'd like to see a little action in VSEA, as I sold my PRIA shares that were underwater last week for a loss and traded one-for-one into VSEA, which has underperformed since then.

Maybe today. Good luck...
