To vote is, by the rules here, to clearly and cleanly remove the chad. That's the difference. I laid it out already.

To count even a single vote that was uncast and unintended in reality, is a definition of election fraud.

This is all very similar to why our legal system lets bad guys go despite their obvious but unproven guilt. Better to let many go free than allow one innocent to suffer.

If you make the voter aware by instruction, that dimples may count as votes, and to get a new ballot if he/she's mistakenly left one...then fine, your simple logic could become correct.

This is not the case as it stands.
