If you examine the history of the market dispassionately, you'll find that long term participation in equities outperforms any other form of investing. I envy your investment window; it offers you an odds on opportunity to amass true wealth if you just follow history's lessons.

Not exactly. I doubt you know much history. Sorry if I'm insulting you, but to suggest that history's lesson is to be invested now is crazy.

How high is the CURRENT NDX P/e and how high did the Nikkei's ever get in 1989?

What percentage of the GDP is our total market trading at CURRENTLY and how high did that percentage ever get in 1929 or Japan in '89?

What percentage does tech make up of the CURRENT total market compared to what it actually makes up of the economy?

Of course, you may believe it's different this time. In that case, using history is not a good argument. Instead you would be hoping that the decisions made this time don't lead to the same consequences.
