Really? I live near a firehouse, did not know about it. Unless it was the other day, bunch of trucks headed up my side street. Not normal to see that, it's a rather tight road.

Kept me from getting to the bar on time.

Fooled around with that demo to take another $2,000, about, on the news. Have to switch to that thing. I chanced a Long on the news as well just as they were announcing. Tried to sell at market when it was around 04 for ten points and Leo crapped out.

Still got 00.50 but it's not acceptable to have that problem.

My wife tells me that a few months ago some tenants were getting stoned in a mansion nearby...

Gee, there goes an engine now....weird....

Anyway, the tenants ended up throwing a burning joint or whatever into some dry wood and walked away. The building cannot be replaced. They are going to re-zone the property for condos. The taxes on some of those homes are over 50, 60 thousand a year. Rebuilding it is prohibitive. One guy built a monolith up the street from me last summer but he is a movie producer, or so I am told. Takes a lot of coin to build those monsters.

House burned down yesterday in Glen Ridge, the town next to us. It's covered by Montclair Fire Departments, so that may be the one.

I lived behind it for ten years......the family that owned it were, well, not my kind of people.

They were a@@holes. Plain and simple.

But the house fit the bill. It was built by Reynolds of Reynolds Metals decades ago. Matter of fact, where my house stands was where their barn was for their horses. When I dug a garden for my wife I kept pulling up flagstone.

They tell me the fire was so intense the windshield on the firetruck cracked, and the wind took sparks across the avenue where a house caught on fire.

It's a long way from this house to the home across the street. Must have been some blaze. The mansion was leveled; have to check that out later tonight.
