Jim,

The Dade canvassing board, Democrats, refused to recount the ballots 3 times

1. They were told by KH that they would be breaking the law.

2. They didn't feel they had enough time.

3. It was Thanksgiving. They had Republican thugs outside, and they didn't think they had enough time.

Had they been giving a real opportunity, the votes would have been counted, and Gore would have won. And you know it.

Jim - Re:"They [Miami-Dade] did give 6 more votes to Gore from the sample precincts"

Make that 168 votes. And that is why you need to finish the counting job.

Bush wants to declare himself winner of the game before they add up the score. This is convenient but very hard to justify.
