I've heard Land Rovers are best off road. What do you think?

Tests do not bear you out. The Hummer can easily go places the Jeep cannot.

Back to the hummers again. I like a little offroading myself.

Hummers can do some AMAZING things in the hands of a competent driver. I saw a video of one crossing a ditch that was something like 6 feet deep and 4 feet wide (approximations, it may have been wider). This I believe could not be done with a jeep.

On the other hand, the jeep guy is right. Hummers are way too wide for most conditions I come across in the Sierra's. For the average joe that doesn't live in the dessert or some other wide open place, the jeep is superior. These vehicles too do some amazing things that I would be afraid to try.

I have a BMW X5 4.4i, but I would not recommend it for off road use. It does move, however!
