Closed out all my long positions (except 1) on a gut feeling. Held onto one put position. Gore down only 150 votes now before the recounts even begin, according to legal analyst on CNBC because of votes that were not counted because they were turned in late.

Chaos Reigns. Bush will appeal to the US Supreme Court.

It will be real interesting to see how after hours trading goes. And the moral of the story again seems that there almost seems to be a plot against letting the market go up more than a day or two before something negative happens (again).

JBL: Thanks! Judge Clark sure looked like she was reeling in the Bush lawyers during their closing arguments. It was obvious she was going to support them and hand Gore a loss, but that she also was putting the Bush people on the record by having them provide the rationale for counting every legally cast vote. It was pretty shrewd--.

Good weekend to all!
