I am just reading the FSC decision. The dissenting opinions are really interesting and worth reading:

Chief Justice Wells: " I also believe that the majority´s opinion cannot withstand the scrutiny which will follow certainly immediately under the United States Constitution".

So there is hope for a swift and final resolution of this mess.

Marvin, being an international expert on the USA legal system, I can state with certainty that states can not disenfranchise voters by capricious setting of certification dates which knowingly preclude the correct counting of votes, which is by definition to be done by personal inspection if the machines can't figure it out accurately enough. Some machines are not particularly intelligent, so it's reasonable to not hand the fate of the USA to a machine.

Maybe it is tiring for the counters. Bad luck!

The USA Supreme Court will decide this situation, not some buffoons from Florida where the Elian Gonzalez case showed there are more Wackos living than in Waco [nowadays anyway].

What's more, I'm with Irwin. The votes should be recounted until AlGorithm wins. He is a good buddy of QUALCOMM, he helped get the internet going while Bush was full of booze and cocaine. He will not start world war three because the Russians have jailed an American spy - Clinton will arrange release before Bush or Gore get their fingers on The Briefcase [containing the codes]. I cannot think of merit in appointment of the son of No New Taxes = Read My Lips; well, that's not true, I like the execution of criminal thugs which is continuing apace. On that alone, I'd just about swing my allegiance to Bush.

It's also fun because most people here seem to be rabid republicans. George Gilder might be as right about Gore as he was about Globalstar you know. He has a thing about the letter 'G'. Don't blindly follow GG.

PS: I think you'll all miss Clinton when he's gone.
