Scumbria, I'm with you on this one (as a minority, it should be unlawful to be a Republican). I really don't understand the fear, the only thing I can think is there has been so much press that Bush=prosperity and Gore=recession that its kind of a self-fulfilled prophecy.

It becomes more amplified as it drags out. This market is only about beating the other guy to the punch. Even as a Gore supporter, I've been using the news to my advantage. I've been trying to time my trades with courts - and have done well until now. I bought quite a bit this morning, expecting Bush to win on all counts - it worked until the SC gave it's verdict. Too bad it was after trading (I don't trade AH).

I wonder what the market will do if Gore actually gets those few hundred votes in the recount.

Dave

ps - it's tough being a Democrat in Arizona.

The markets have always hated Gore. The NAZ is only up 400% since he took office 8 years ago.

I agree that the VP Al Gore would not screw up the economy. But the "I'm mad as hell- lets stop those evil companies" Gore that debuted at the convention would be a disaster. Which one did you vote for?

Gore must be doing a good job then... But, can you tell us what he did that made it go up 400%?

RE:"The markets have always hated Gore. The NAZ is only up 400% since he took office 8 years ago."

And down 50% since it became apparent Gore would be the Dem candidate for President. The Last 800 in the Nazdaq since the election.
