Tommaso -It may seem it doesn't make a difference now, but if Bush wins, Congress and Presidency will be Republican. That hasn't happened in decades. All this will be forgotten in less than a month after.

Gov debt is 5.7 tril this year, 5.5 tril last year, no balanced budget! The money is taken out of S.S. to help fund the general budget. But, the real irony is that the worthless IOU is added as an asset. Thus surplus. Add a big tax cut, and the money for S.S. is greatly reduced from future revenues. Then, take 2% out for individuals to invest, and you completely eliminated S.S. for the baby boomers and thereafter.

Next, there will not be any "Patients Bill of Rights" and the HMO's have a free spree against the sick. The only thing worse than an operation is dealing with the insurance companies afterwards.

Next, Estate Taxes will be eliminated. Thus assuring that in a few generations, we will become the old monarchs of England that stifled competition. As it stands now, most of the rich can pay little taxes until their net worth exceeds 4-5 million.

A modest proposal for prescriptions will pass. Medicine will become too expensive for many. Instead of a copay, the next step is the patient pays 20% then 33% etc.

Environment will be on the back burner. Houston may not be the only most polluted city.

Old economies, tobacco, oil, will do well.

School vouchers will take money from public schools to private schools.

Most of the damage won't be noticed till it's too late.
Not any one of these things are bad, but in total, it shows there will be a broadening between the classes. I hate seeing anyone "Left Behind".
