Dan--Oh, okay, he signed a "modification" of it.--now THERE'S an important difference!! The fact is, manual recounts are the LAW in Texas, Dubya's home state!!!

And, I guess, Gore's offer to manually recount ALL of the FL ballots--Republican and Democratic counties alike--is not evenhanded or fair, eh?

Uh, remind me--what offer did Bush make to Gore, other than to concede?

And, another question, if Gore wins the recount, will Bush then take his own advice? Hmmmmm... why do I sorta doubt it?....

Actually, that law in Texas existed before Bush became governor. He just signed a modification of it. But it's truly irrelevant anyway. It remains the truth that Gore has sought nothing evenhanded and fair from the system, even when fully considering his "offer" to Bush. What Bush fights here, needs to be fought.
