Your points are well taken but no longer of any significance since the U.S. Supreme Court stay of the vote count. What Supreme Court Justice Scalia said is important: Don't count the remaining votes, as that could adversely impact the person we think will win. I've got news for Scalia. No matter what the effect of his stay, and no matter who wins, those ballots will be counted as a result of Freedom of Information requests by private groups, such as the Miami Herald. To stall the vote count places a stigma on WHOMEVER is declared winner and makes it even harder to govern. The Scalia decision and order firmly places the Supreme Court in the political quagmire, instead of remaining above it.
