Elmer,

The rules were laid down in Florida law and in the US Constitution. The people you accuse have no choice but to follow the law. It the ultra leftwing extremists on the FSC who are making new rules to favor their guy.

You are focusing on one law, and ignoring other conflicting laws. The courts don't have that luxury.

The FSC made a ruling to count only undervotes, which are likely to favor Bush. The undervotes come 2-1 from Republican counties. You don't have any idea what you are talking about (as usual.)

Elmer, it's hard to believe, but you were actually more entertaining when you were doing your "We will bury you " rants on the AMD thread back in January. Now, anybody who disagrees with you and the Florida Bush campaign co-chair on the Florida vote count is an "ultra leftwing extremist". I thing you are ultra full of it, and I can point to much better evidence here on SI to support that characterization than you could possibly come up with on the Florida Supreme Court.

Elmer, Re: Screw the Court and screw re-re-re-recount. The legislature should just do it.

I beg to differ here. Judge Wells summed it up nicely in his dissent by quoting one of the expert witness "The margin of error is larger than the margin of victory" which means either candidate will just win this race by nothing but luck. That said, all those talk about "every vote must be counted" are purely b* but I don't think FLSC or those canvassing boards are partisan as described. So if the recount can be done by Tuesday, the winner is still legitimate but not a true winner as Gore camp wanted to portrait.
