Ted,

I posted this; dynamic.nasdaq-amex.com

I didn't occur to me that such information might indicate any political bias, let alone elicit a barrage of posts.:)

In case I haven't mentioned it, I'm not affiliated with either party, and have voted for whomever I considered to be either the best, or the lesser of evils, for many years. I consider myself to be a libertarian, if anything. I voted for neither man. To be elected and survive for a long period of time, career politicians must accumulate a lot of "baggage," IMHO. Ethics, morals, truthfulness and honesty must all be compromised to some degree to attain survival. This is why I favor term limits, and campaign finance reform. Incumbency, not party affiliation, is the real, true enemy of these, BTW.

Like most, my portfolio has also suffered this year. I've avoided options, kept margin to low limits and avoided whining, to a good degree. I don't hold either political party, the AG, or anyone else, responsible for the current status of my stocks. My win, my loss=my responsibility.

Re <<What's most disturbing is that the stocks that do the best when it looks like Bush has won are the tobacco plays like MO.>> I've never owned any of these. Perhaps you've given me something to consider.

Re <<But you all probably think that's a good thing.>> Polarization has stricken. :) Perhaps you didn't notice that my previous post was signed the same way this one is~

FWIW,
JohnD
