Having watched the United States Supreme Court for years, I guess it's fair to say MANY years, it comes as no surprise to me that the decision split 5/4. I have nothing but admiration for Justice Scalia. In fact, I have his autograph on a program book from when he spoke to the Fairfax Bar Association. I haven't asked for an autograph since I was a teenager. I think I'll have it framed and hang it in my office.

I agree with the dissent of Justice Wells, the Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court - who stated that the decision by the Florida Supreme Court had NO basis in Florida law - and I think he knows Florida law better than I do - it is the Florida Supreme Court whose actions were contrary to the rule of law. He is a lifelong Democrat, and his demeanor during the first appeal demonstrated that he had no love of George W. Bush.

unprecedented, fascinating political drama imo

MSNBC got it all over CNN, btw

j. baker appears to be a rather unfunny clown to me,
weren't his comments on the greenback at least partly responsible for the 1987 market rout?

matters of fla state law aside, i rather preferred
that the count would be completed for closure

but this too shall pass, fight to see past the next week

cheers
