I hadn't heard that one. But it doesn't surprise me.

Lost in the rest of the chaos today was the news that a group of Dems failed in their continuing attempt to get 2400 overseas military ballots thrown out:

skeets, is that really true? People vote for a candidate, and then write him in, too?

If 800 did this for Bush, how many did it for Gore? I hardly think that brain malfunction would be limited to exclusively to Bush supporters given the large numbers.

It's that kind of CIA-grey-lie reporting that makes me agree with Jeff that the individuals who have shown they have integrity in this election are few and far between. What's purported to be an open and just process looks remarkably like attorneys in an adversarial court case where we are exposed to a non-stop stream of lies & half-truths (more commonly used I think). Add to that the rumor-generating and propogating power of the Internet and you have a mess.

Skeeter,

I heard about those 800 votes that had check for Bush and write in for Bush, but only recently found out the following:

The instructions on that ballot (prepared by Democrats) said "Vote once per page". However, since their were so many pres candidates, they put them on two pages. People checked Bush on the first page, saw presidents on the second page and wrote him in. Lame ballot. Worse than Palm Beach.

Still, being intellectually honest, I'd say people who did this were pieces of Samsonite, and shouldn't participate. however, I wand Dems to be intellectually honest too, and if they say let's discern the will of all voters, than these have to count.
