re:("Are you saying he has generously given of his time without a salary?")

No. Salary for Hours Worked is a matter between employer and employee. The generosity is to the listening audience. I should think that would be obvious.

re: ("selling of interpretations is legal and he has no recourse so no action can be taken.")

It's not a matter of legality. It's a matter of support and respect of the radio host's wishes in exchange for his generosity. Courts and laws decide legality (except as we've seen in Florida). My perception he's reached the point where there's nothing in it for him to continue the radio show with useful content but lack of support, criticism, and lack of respect. He said it himself a few weeks ago- "Why mention the name of a stock when people sit ready to pounce on and criticize every statement he makes." Who needs that grief. So now we get diluted content and the SILENCE.

re: (" I believe Bob is going to retire ")

I do too.

re: ("I wonder if Times have changed and left Bob behind.")

I believe he is as sharp as every. Probably wants to spend more time with his family and playing golf (his obvious passion). Preparing a monthly news letter probably involves most of the effort he would spend on his own investments and therefore little incremental work. Whereas preparing for a weekly 6-hour radio show probably involves a lot of additional time that will now be freed up for pleasure. Can't blame him - he's earned it, for sure - I wish him the best for all time.

re:(" I guess we will find out if we learned our lessons that Bob has taught over the years.")

You got that right. Hope you and everyone who supports and respects Bob took good notes. For the others, I wish them what they wish on Brinker.

re: ("Most importantly will we be able to manage our money profitably for the rest of our lives?"

I'm confident that those who listened hard and took notes will be just fine. Maybe the newbee's who have not listened for a reasonable span of time will find it more difficult. No matter when he retires, there will always be a certain number of newbees. He can't be responsible for anyone but himself. We are totally responsible for the information we act on, not Bob.
