You aren't getting my point. Actors don't "manipulate their personality for the sake of artifice." It's a show. And sane politicians don't "manipulate their personality for the sake of artifice," either. Your personality is one of the things that doesn't change, that make you who you are. Can you imagine George Washington, or Thomas Jefferson "manipulating his personality for the sake of artifice"? I could write a Master's Thesis on the ramifications. But this is way off topic, so I am letting it drop. You can have the last word.
