The real truth to this sad saga is that, having been allowed a pass on impeachment and the war, the Democrats have been trying to STEAL an election. The Republicans have been trying to prevent the election from being stolen from them. The rest, dimpled ballots, confusing instructions, "uncounted votes", etc., is bullshit. There is NO middle ground in a robbery attempt. The USSC may give in to the thieves, or they may save the country by chasing them away.

While there might be some consolation for the Republicans to volunteer to take the losing side again for the 3rd time in 40 years, most of them now feel it's time to put a stop to the criminals' activities, or the country will have no future worth defending.

The Bush side does not want any manual counts done period, by any standard of choice.

Valley Girl, you are right about one thing. The USSC had a chance to fashion an opinion that could have lent legitimacy to the outcome of the election. But they blew it by staying the count. Now they have boxed themselves, limiting their options and have been drawn into the atmosphere of accusations of judicial partisanship fomented by Bush and his own personal Goebbels, Jim Baker.
