Yeah. I've seen these sorts of numbers in other states. Many states have "special" frontloader seasons. But as far as I can tell there's nothing special about it. Its just another way to get in on the early action. I'm not complaining. I do it too. Crazy about it in fact. 400+ for a deer is definitely Bullwinkledom. That's pretty much unheard of out east here, certainly not in the southeast (though I heard of a guy in Virginia who nailed a Kentucky elk recently (grin)). I'm seriously thinking about buying a place in the upper midwest at some point. I also want to get back into Canada for moose.
