Yep, I believe that was my point in that we will never know what was on those ballots first hand.

As a Bush supporter, I'm not happy with the way this appears to be ending. I'd like to see a manual recount of the Florida votes with a standard enforced. Since it doesn't appear that Florida has ever considered "dimpled" chads prior to Nov. 7, 2000, I think the recount standard should not consider them. The recount should consider perforations to count as a legitimate vote. This would require a recount of Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and all other counties that recounted using other standards. th
