CB--Yeah, that's the question isn't it... And if the USSC rules that the FLSC "wrote" their own law, I'll guess that's the way it goes; I will say, however, that I find their decision to stop the recount most curious, given the Dec. 12th deadline rapidly approaching. If they truly had serious questions regarding the validity of the recount, they should have allowed the recount to continue and simply disallowed the vote change afterwards, if needed. This ruling smacks of the "fix" being in, and will substantially reduce the respect for the court, as well as place an unnecessary black cloud of unfairness over the Bush presidency (hell, I think there's a damn good chance that Bush would have won the recount).
